Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In November, China’s passenger vehicles (PV) sales were 2.55 million, a slight increase of 0.2 percent year on year, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). In the past eleven months, the cumulative sales of PVs in domestic market reached 21.61 million, up 2.5 percent from a year earlier.
Among the top 10 models by November sales, half of them showed sales decrease. Self-owned brands had an outstanding sales performance with five models among the top 10 models.
Besides, self-owned branded models occupy the top 3 of the list. They are Wuling Hongguang, Haval H6, Baojun 510. The best seller’s sales were 56,248 units, and the sales of all top 10 models exceeded 30,000 units.
Sedan and MPV segments’ November sales still decreased while SUV sales increased by 7.6 percent year on year. The sedan sales in the past eleven months totaled 10.66 million, down 2.2 percent from a year earlier, but the segment still accounted for nearly 49.3 percent of the total PV sales.
In the previous eleven months, the SUV segment saw a sales volume of 9.14 million, jumping 14.9 percent compared with the same period of last year and accounting for 42.3 percent of the total PV sales.
