Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Qoros Auto delivered 11,371 vehicles, skyrocketing 288% year on year and surging 82% month on month during the first three months. With only three months, Qoros has completed 74% of its 2017 sales, according to the sales data released by Qoros Auto.
On Dec. 16, Baoneng Group secured a 51% stake in Qoros with RMB 6.6 billion. With the help of Baoneng, Qoros saw great progress since the beginning of 2018. At the beginning of March, Qoros set a sales target of 80,000 units for 2018, which is almost five times more than its 2017 sales.
After Baoneng acquired 51% stake in Qoros, Qoros not only received vast ecological resources and financing support from Baoneng, but also underwent a series of strategic adjustments and personnel changes. Li Feng, executive vice president of Baoneng Automobile and CEO of Qoros Auto stated that Qoros will introduce Banma operating system in intelligent connected vehicle area and will launch Qoros pure electric vehicles in 2018.
With the participation of former Baidu vice president Wu Xuebin and BAIC's Vice President Cai Jianjun, Baoneng Automobile now boasts a strong executive team with various auto-industry talents. It is also rumored that Chen Siying, vice general manager of BAIC Sales Company will join Baoneng. Besides, new Qoros has attracted several auto-industry experts via incentive mechanism. It is exposed that Baoneng and Qoros are expanding R&D team in new energy and intelligent connected vehicles. In the future, Qoros's products transformation will focus on new energy, new materials, multiple functions and highly intelligence.
In terms of sales channel building, Chengdu Jianguo Qoros 4S Store opened on Mar. 31. Cai Jianjun, vice president of Baoneng and executive vice president of Qoros disclosed that Qoros will enhance its support to 4S stores. With agile incentive measures, Qoros aims to gain a win-win situation together with its dealers.
Qoros also formulates a range of measures to improve its brand image and reputation. It will focus on products planning, channel deployment, sales management and ability improvement of sales system.
