Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Inside information said that Tian Qingjiu, Vice Party Secretary of FAW Toyota will officially replace Jiang Jun as General Manager of FAW Toyota Sales Company. It’s learned that the personnel change announcement has been issued in FAW Group and will be officially informed to FAW Toyota on November 1st but related person in charge has not confirmed the fact yet.
Jiang Jun, who has been working in FAW Group for 32 years, is a senior staff of the auto industry. He began as a welder worker in FAW Jilin, and then served as the workshop director and plant manager. He also took in charge of production, technologies and planning in FAW Jinbei from the year 1996. And then he served as senior managers in FAW Harbin Light Automobile Co. Ltd., FAW Hongta and FAW GM. Jiang Jun was named General Manager of FAW Toyota Sales Company in March, 2014.
It’s learned that FAW Toyota begins to take efforts by way of “aggressive marketing” to establish sales system of 1m units since the year 2017. Data shows that FAW Toyota has a total sales volume of 464,000 units in the previous eight months with a year-on-year growth of 8.2%, accomplishing nearly 70% of the annual sales target of 700,000 units.
Tian Qingjiu is also a veteran in the auto industry. He joined FAW Group in 1991, and took positions in FAW Jilin, FAW Mazda and FAW Toyota hereafter. During his tenure in FAW Mazda as Vice General Manager, he also took the lead to introduce the Atenza, the first Mazda model using Skyactiv-vehicle dynamics.
According to the previous plan, FAW Toyota begins to land its new products based on TNGA Concept into markets from this year, and a total 15 models will be launched by 2020. In the meantime, its dealership stores will be up to 700 to achieve an annual sales target of 1m units and comprehensively strengthen its competitive power. Tian Qingjiu’s promotion also marks FAW Toyota’s entry into a new era.
