China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corp., Ltd (CNHTC) has signed a framework agreement yesterday with Super Group, an automotive company from South Africa, for the distribution of tank trucks in South Africa.
According to the agreement, Super Group will import 300 tank trucks made by CNHTC in the first phase and purchase another 1,800 CNHTC pickups before the end of this year. The products will be sold at South Africa as well as the sub-Saharan African market.
CNHTC is famous for developing and manufacturing the first heavy duty truck in China. In 2006 the group sold 60,000 vehicle units and exported 6,296 heavy trucks while in the first five months it has exported 5,244 complete vehicles, gaining foreign exchange of 129.8 million dollars.
